We are looking for a Sommelier (m/f/*) for the Rutz – Berlin’s only *** Michelin restaurant! The Rutz is the only *** Michelin restaurant in Berlin and, with its unique philosophy of cooking, occupies a special position both in the city and nationwide. Due to the history of the restaurant, wine has always played a very special role here. We are looking for a person who can perfectly and excitingly combine the independent cuisine of Marco Müller and his team with their very own idea of wine.
Your tasks
- Developing and maintaining an outstanding wine menu that perfectly complements our unique cuisine
- Advise our guests on wine selection and presentation of wines at the table
- Working closely with head chef Marco Müller and the team to create harmonious wine and food pairings
- Organising wine tastings and training sessions for our team
- Maintaining and expanding our wine cellar
What you bring with you
- A good professional basis and expertise in wine and fine dining
- Several years of experience as a sommelier in high-end gastronomy
- A confident charisma and excellent communication skills
- Empathy and the ability to work in a team
- Very good knowledge of English, other language skills are an advantage
- A passion for wine and a willingness to share this enthusiasm with our guests
