Volker Raumland has elevated German sparkling wine to heights few would have imagined, leaving everything else behind: no still wine, only bottle fermentation, only patience. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Meunier\u2014harvested by hand, whole clusters pressed, then aged on the lees for years; for the grand cuv\u00e9es, over a decade.  <\/p>\n<p>Today, the second generation carries on the legacy\u2014as Germany\u2019s first pure sparkling wine estate in the VDP.
